Emotional Freedom Techniques - EFT

Written by admin on Saturday, March 15th, 2008 in Alternative, Holistic, Uncategorized.

EFT is an easy and powerful technique which you can do for yourself. It is the gentle, non-invasive technique of tapping different points on the upper body in order to relieve unwelcome emotional states. EFT has proven successful in thousands of clinical cases. It applies to just about every emotional, health and performance issue you can name.

It is the contemporary application of methods used over 4,500 years ago. It works with the meridian energy system (just like acupuncture) within your body to relieve disrupted energy leaving the energy flowing easily and naturally.

It helps;

  • Overcome unwanted emotions such as guilt, fear, shame and anger.
  • Change unwanted habits and behavior including limiting self-talk.
  • Enhance your abilities to love and succeed and enjoy life.
  • Allows those using it to have greater emotional control, inner peace and effectiveness in the world.
  • It does all these things quickly, often in minutes.
  • It brings freedom.

Courses vary in price depending on how much you wish to learn with many venues offering one day tuition, there are also various books and DVD’s demonstrating the basics of learning how to perform EFT on yourself.

Hopi Ear Candles

Written by Tina on Friday, October 5th, 2007 in Holistic, Uncategorized.

I had one of the best treatments I have ever experienced last week and I would recommend it to anyone. Hopi ear candles, it was simply amazing and not some kind of hocus pocus treatment like many seem to believe.

The historical roots can be found among the people of Asia and both the North and South American Indian’s. Ancient rock paintings show the use of ear candles at initiation rituals and medicinal ceremonies. The Hopi, (the oldest pueblo people with great medicinal and spiritual knowledge) were responsible in bringing it to Europe.

The physical effects are best described as soothing and relaxing, I felt a pressure release in and around the ear and head. The therapist asked me to lay on my side ensuring I was comfortable before gently inserting a candle into my ear. The candle itself is made from the natural ingredients of beeswax, honey extracts, sage, St Johns wort, chamomile, beta-carotene and organically grown flax. It must be noted at this stage that the center of the Hopi candle is hollow, the idea is to extract rubbish from within the ear not to melt anything into it.

HopiThe top of the candle is then lit and the vapour draws your ears impurities or deposits up and out through the candles ‘chimney’ although some deposits will be found in the the hollow void of the candle at the end of the treatment. The candle burns for approximately 10 minutes and afterwards the therapist massages your head (including forehead) and around your nasal area.

Conclusion: I noticed an increased sense of smell and I was surprised at just how well I could hear afterwards, I had no idea my hearing had got that bad. I was also a little shocked at how much rubbish my ears had in them. I was left feeling very relaxed and looking forward to my next treatment, it beats going to the doctors for ear syringing any day.
